This Ferrari is one of the most iconic and sought-after models ever produced by the company. It is part of a trio of legendary cars that includes the 250 GTO and the 250 Testa Rossa. This particular car is the 22nd of only 32 examples ever built and it has an incredible racing history. It competed in the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans, winning four overall victories and one additional class win during the 1965 BRSCC Season.

It was piloted by some of the most famous racing drivers of the era, including Mike Hailwood, Innes Ireland, and Michael Parkes. The car retains its original engine and transaxle, used at Le Mans in 1968. It has been comprehensively restored to original specifications by Ferrari Classiche, and it is one of the relatively few examples to have never suffered a significant crash. It has been exhibited at some of the world’s most prestigious car shows, including the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and the Ferrari Finals at Mugello.

It is very well-documented with factory build sheet copies, SEFAC papers, 1968 Le Man’s paperwork, former owner’s correspondence, period photographs with detailed analysis, a restoration summary authored by Ferrari, a history report by Marcel Massini, and Ferrari Classiche Red Book. This is an exquisitely presented and highly original example of Maranello’s legendary rear-engine V-12 racecar. Now, if we can just get past the $20m potential price tag.
