If, like us here at The Coolector, you love filling your workspace with retro/vintage bits and pieces and have an affinity for old school vehicles, the guys at Corgi have got some super-cool little cars that will more than fit the bill. Check out our pick of 5 of the coolest retro Corgi car toys below:
Retro Land Rover Breakdown Truck
The 417 Land Rover Breakdown Truck was first released in 1965. It has now been recreated with modern features, including sprung suspension, a working tow hook jib, and premium packaging that replicates the original vintage packaging. This truck is perfect for collectors and fans of Land Rovers alike.
Volvo P1800
The first model in the collection is the 228 Volvo P1800, which was originally issued by Corgi Toys in 1962. This iconic car is now available in a striking red color, and comes packaged in a recreation of the original Corgi Toys box.
Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2
The 320 Ford Mustang Fast Back Coupe was first released in 1965 by Corgi Toys in several colours, but never in this new gold and black version. The livery of this new model replicates the colours of a rare unreleased test version, which is now finally widely available for the first time.
Porsche Carrera 6
The 330 Porsche Carrera 6 was first issued by Corgi Toys in 1967. It was only available in white, with a choice of either red or blue trim. This new issue features a red-accented livery. The model also has an opening engine cover, a detailed interior, and a recreation of the original Corgi Toys packaging.
Jaguar E-Type
The Corgi Toys 335 Jaguar 4.2 E-Type, released in 1968, is a faithful replica of the iconic British sports car. It features opening doors, hood, and trunk, as well as tipping front seats and sliding rear seat. This detailed toy is perfect for any fan of classic cars.
