Well, you’re in luck because there really are some extraordinary rooftop bars dotted all over the planet and we take a look at 5 of the best below:

Aqua Spirit, Hong Kong

As skylines go, Hong Kong has definitely got one of the best in the business and there are few better vantage points for it than the wonderfully luxurious Aqua Spirit situated in the city’s One Peking Skyscraper building. The bar boasts a David Collins design and you’ll be blown away by the sheer wealth of options on offer with the cocktails and assorted drinks menus.

Sky Bar, Bangkok

Perhaps best known for being the bar that featured in the second Hangover movie set in the city, the Sky Bar, situated in the Lebua Hotel does afford you some of the most amazing views of Bangkok imaginable. Just be prepared to pay a premium for these views because the prices for the drinks can be as lofty as the views. Totally worth it though to see search a unique and spectacular view of the Bangkok skyline.

Bar 65 at the Rainbow Room, New York

Manhattan as one of the most iconic skylines in the world and you’ll be able to capture a glimpse of most of it from the brilliantly situated Bar 65 at the Rainbow Room. Afforded excellent views of Central Park, Midtown and Downtown New York from this lofty perch makes it the perfect place for relaxing after a day of taking in all the sights and sounds that Manhattan has to offer.

Sky Garden SkyPod Rooftop Bar

Situated in the comically named Walkie Talkie building in central London, there can be few better spots for a cocktail or two than this with amazing views of the Thames, Shard and the expanse of London as a whole. A favourite spot of ours here at Coolector HQ and one that is going to show your our nation’s capital from a whole new perspective.

Perch, Los Angeles

Views of downtown Los Angeles perhaps aren’t quite as sought after as those in Manhattan but you’ll still find a great selection of rootop bars in LA but none better than Perch. This fantastic oasis away from the hustle and bustle offers unobstructed views of Downtown Los Angeles and you will be able to enjoy a range of specialty drinks that focus on simple, fresh Parisian inspired cocktails, a wine program and, happily for us here at Coolector HQ, a great selection of craft beers.
