Sweden make good cars and none better than a brand so synonymous with the country that it’s impossible to think of one and not the other – Volvo. We’ve always been mightily impressed with the calibre of the machines emanating from the iconic Swedish brand and when we stumbled across their New Beginnings campaign which they’re carrying out alongside Avicii it just served to leave us even more enamoured with the brand.
To celebrate this campaign Volvo have joined forces with Avicii and made a short film that was shot on location in Stockholm and Osterlen, southern Sweden. The video explores places of personal significance for Avicii and tells his own story of renewal, following several years of hard touring and, as you can see for yourself, it is shot supremely well. The Avicii song, “Feeling Good” was chosen by Volvo to embody their new campaign and the highly striking imagery does a mighty fine job of showcasing just how impressive their new machines are. There is something about Sweden that appeals to our senses here at Coolector HQ – whether it be the artwork of the immeasurably talent, Simon Stalenhag, or the fantastic machines crafted by Volvo. The superb new campaign from Volvo featuring Avicii definitely paints them in a highly stylish light and we’re not surprised that they’ve really pushed the boat out with this offering as it wonderfully illustrates the beauty of their machines and does so in a highly engaging and unusual way.
