We don’t have a musical bone amongst us here at Coolector HQ and there are few pursuits we’ve failed more spectacularly at than skateboarding so, logically speaking, we probably shouldn’t be so impressed with Prisma Guitars, a series of eye-catching guitars crafted from reclaimed skateboards, but it’s hard not to be won over by their uniqueness and aesthetic appeal.
Prisma Guitars are the brainchild of Nick Poufard, a 22 year old, self-taught, woodworker who, as you might expect given his creation, has a distinct love of both music and skateboarding. Each of the guitars that Poufard crafts underneath his Prisma label are made from used or broken skateboards and this means that no two will ever be exactly the same.
If you’re a musical sort after a guitar that is a little out of the ordinary, these ones from Prisma will surely tick all of the right boxes. Take a look at a few more shots below:
Every one of the Prisma Guitars are 100% handmade in San Francisco, California, and there won’t be many out there with an instrument as cool and unusual as this. We love industrial design projects here at Coolector and seldom are they as striking and inventive as these Prisma Guitars from Nick Poufard.
