Some things are just born to go together and that is the focus of this “Coupled” series of prints by award-winning graphic designer and film maker, Safwat Saleem, who works out of Phoenix, Arizona. This exceptional array of prints looks at the relationship between a seemingly mundane set of things that go together and it does so in a minimalist and humorous way.
Whether it’s the relationship between Pac-Man and his merciless pursuers or between the bread knife and the unsuspecting loaf, there is a playful feel running through these wonderfully stylised prints and they are they are ideally suited to contemporary homes or business premises.
I’m a huge fan of this style of artwork and this is the first time I’ve come across the works of Saleem but, safe to say, now that I’ve discovered this graphic designer’s top-notch body of work, I’ll be keeping a close eye on him. Not in a creepy “I’m in your bushes, Safwat” way. Just going on his website regularly probably.
You can check out Safwat’s website HERE or order his prints at Society 6.
