We’re not going to lie, a lot of the cars we write about here on the pages of The Coolector would require a remortage in order to afford so it’s good to write about some machines that are a bit more at the affordable end of the spectrum like this, frankly fantastic looking, 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 which is going under the hammer with Bring A Trailer.

Boasting the sort of old school cool we love and with a current bid of a decidedly reasonable $22k, you might be able to get your hands on an automotive icon without breaking the bank entirely. This stylish little steed is going to score style points aplenty and we’re big fans of its aesthetic. The 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 from Bring A Trailer has done just 22,000 miles and is presented in a first rate condition considering the vehicle’s age.

Green With Envy

Presented with striking green paintwork alongside a brown, vinyl interior, there is a distinctive retro vibe to this spectacularly cool 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000. It has a 2.0-litre inline-four engine which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Other stand out features of this lot include 14″ Campagnolo wheels, Wilwood front brake callipers, and SPICA fuel injection.

The 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 from Bring A Trailer was removed from storage in Seattle, Washington in 2017, and subsequent service included rebuilding the SPICA pump and replacing the fuel lines, fuel relays, powertrain mounts, and steering box. The glorious steeds were designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone and this particular example was delivered new in Verde Muschio Chiaro (227), and the selling dealer states that it was refinished at some point.

Other features include a front lip, chrome-finished bumpers and trim, differing quarter-panel badges, and Bertone fender badges. Gold-finished 14″ Campagnolo wheels show Alfa Romeo castings and are mounted with Vredestein Sportrac 5 tires to provide an authentic look and feel to this wonderfully aged machine. The exterior of this Alfa Romeo really draws the eye and it is exactly the sort of ride we’d be happy to have sat outside of Coolector HQ.

Vintage Vibes on the Inside

The interior of this 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 comes equipped with bolstered seats with brown vinyl upholstery and matching door panels, which are contrasted by black carpeting. Some of the other features to catch the eye include a textured headliner, wood trim on the front-facing surfaces of the black dashboard, and Alfa Romeo–stamped doorsills.

With current bidding at just $22k, there is definitely a bargain to be had here for some lucky classic car collector. Alfa Romeo have some of the most attractive vintage cars out there and this GTV 2000 is definitely a fine example of exactly that.
