The road trip, beach days lifestyle is one that is immeasurably appealing to our sensibilities here at Coolector HQ and to live this life you need to have the right set of wheels. Enter the Arkonik So-Cal Land Rover Defender which is definitely one of the most laid back and attractive from the workshop to date and if you’re after the ultimate road trip warrior this fall, you’ll certainly not find many better candidates for the job than this.
The Arkonik So-Cal Land Rover Defender has got everything that you’ll be looking for in your road tripping ally (not to mention a whole heap more) and, as is always the case from Arkonik, the quality of the build and finish is utterly unparalleled. Immensely stylish and built for adventure, the So-Cal Land Rover Defender is a stunning machine that has been restored to the highest possible calibre by a workshop right at the top of their game.
Life Less Ordinary
There is something about the creations of Arkonik that breathe new life in Land Rovers and for fans of these road warriors, there aren’t many workshops that can hold a candle to them. The So-Cal is a fine example of their restoration capabilities and it is crafted upon a 1989 model Land Rover Defender and comes in a supremely cool Java Black colourway. It has a 5 speed manual gearbox and 3.5L V8 engine which delivers all the power you’ll need for any road trip adventures that you find yourself on.
The Arkonik So-Cal Land Rover Defender has the rather eye-watering price tag of $170k but when you take into account the quality of the craftsmanship and materials used throughout the build, it becomes a lot more justified. This 6-seater will deliver comfort levels off the charts and a smooth ride ideal for road trips both big and small. The So-Cal is born ready to hit the beach, cruising along the Californian coastline with the soft-top down and the Summer tunes pumping, thanks to a cool Pioneer® sound system.
Boasting a highly classic look with its silver Heritage grille, bumper and frame to offset the gleaming Java Black paintwork, the So-Cal from Arkonik is a real sight to behold. The interiors positively excel with the Camden Woven interior trim and wood-rimmed steering wheel enhancing the surf vibes of this ultra-stylish D90. With the Tan soft-top removed, the interior is fully revealed for all to see. Puma style seats upfront and tip-seats in the rear have been trimmed in Camden Supersoft leather by Ruskin Design®, and include woven detailing throughout.
Secure as they Come
Given the price of the So-Cal Defender from Arkonik, you’d expect it to come with some extra security features and it doesn’t disappoint in this regard. It comes fitted with Defender Defender®: which is a GPS based security system that provides pinpoint tracking accuracy and automated alert notifications straight to your phone when it has been moved unexpectedly. This will give you that extra peace of mind that your Defender is defended.
The So-Cal might not come cheap at $170k but, quite frankly, you’re not going to find a cooler machine than this anywhere out there so it will be money well spent and will be the car that you take on all your road trips for many years to come. This extraordinary looking Land Rover is yet another fine example of Arkonik’s considerable talents in restoring these off-road machines and probably our favourite to date here at Coolector HQ.
