Needless to say, Audi is best known for their four-wheeled vehicle but they’re beginning to branch out into two-wheeled steeds and it’s certainly a welcome transition if this awesome-looking Audi Electric Mountain Bike is anything to go by. Taking its design inspiration from the ultimate electrified off-roader, the Dakar-winning Audi RS Q e-tron, this mountain bike won’t let you down when push comes to shove and it is right at home on the most uncompromising of terrains.

Priced at $9,795, the Audi Electric Mountain Bike boasts extensive capabilities and is designed for versatility. This model collaborates with Italian motorcycle and e-bike manufacturer Fantic. Based on Fantic’s XEF 1.9 Factory Enduro e-bike, it features a lightweight aluminium frame engineered for a comfortable riding position. This relaxed stance helps riders navigate obstacles and varied terrains more effectively. Additionally, its hybrid wheel configuration, with a 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear, optimizes both rollover performance and agility in tight corners.

With its full-suspension setup, e-bike-specific Mavic tubeless-ready wheels, and Vittoria e-bike-rated off-road tyres, this bike is well-suited for a range of environments, from smooth bike paths and touring routes to rugged off-road trails. The Audi eMTB stands out with its premium, fully adjustable suspension parts, offering 180mm of travel.

It features a coil-sprung Öhlins TTX22m.2 rear shock and an air-sprung Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork. The 1×12 drivetrain relies on SRAM’s GX rear derailleur and a handlebar-mounted shifter, operating over an 11-51-tooth rear cassette. For braking, it is equipped with Sunstar Braking’s F.I.R.S.T. callipers and S3 Batfly rotors (220/203mm F/R), ensuring robust stopping power. The Audi eMTB, powered by Fantic, offers riders four modes of electric assistance—Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost—capable of reaching speeds up to 20 mph. The estimated battery range varies from 12 to 90 miles (20 to 150 kilometres), depending on the terrain, the rider’s weight and the level of assistance utilised.

Housed entirely within the aluminium frame, the 720-Wh, 36-volt lithium-ion battery powers the quiet and efficient Brose S-MAG 250-watt motor, which generates up to 90 Nm of torque. A compact digital display on the handlebars offers a quick glance at essential information, such as the assist level, battery charge status, and current speed. Additionally, when the battery charge falls below 10%, a flashing indicator appears in the top right corner of the display to alert the rider.
