We love what we do here at Coolector HQ and sometimes the life of a blogger opens doors to some awesome events and that’s exactly what happened recently when we were invited by ASUS down to the Eden Project in Cornwall for Eden Sessions to take in a Ben Howard gig and give their spiffing little laptop / tablet hybrid, the ASUS Transformer Book Chi a test-drive.
Our first foray into Cornwall definitely didn’t disappoint and the spectacular Eden Projects served as the ideal introduction to what it a truly jaw-dropping part of the country. The trip wasn’t all pleasure activities, of course, and working on the go is something that is part and parcel of the day to day life of a men’s lifestyle blogger and, for that, we need tools of the trade that are geared towards this and that is a observation that is immediately apparent with the well-conceived and technologically impressive ASUS Transformer Chi.
The commute to Cornwall is somewhat of a gruelling one for those of us living on the north tip of London (with around five hours seemingly the norm) so travelling lightly was somewhat of a prerequisite and it is in this respect that the ASUS Chi really excels. Lightweight, durable and extremely functional with a screen which is easily pulled apart to become a tablet, you’ll be hard pressed to find a device more conducive to blogging on the go.
With the Eden Sessions (a series of intimate gigs held at Eden Projects) sponsored by ASUS and their latest device, the Transformer Book Chi, we were delighted to be asked to give it a run through its paces throughout our time spent in Cornwall and it didn’t let us down from a portability or performance point of view.
Working on the go, as we often find inevitable here at The Coolector, it’s important that we’ve got a contraption that is suitable for often confined spaces, be this a woefully overcrowded train en route into London or a packed coffee shop in Shoreditch, and the ASUS Chi is easy to deploy almost anywhere – a fact which gives it an obvious appeal to the blogging fraternity.
Thanks to ASUS and Eden Sessions for putting on such an awesome event that allowed us to see one of our favourite musicians and get to grips with a great piece of technology that we’ve no qualms whatsoever about recommending to those after a device that is perfectly suited to blogging.
