Bespoke Watch Projects are a California-based watch brand that has become synonymous with unique merging of heritage-inspired details and modernist design influences. They craft high quality timepieces that are equal parts functional tool, art piece, and personal heirloom. Their latest release, the exceptional “Intaglio” Edition steers their creative direction even further into the unique and handmade.
This latest series of timepieces from Bespoke Watch Projects incorporates in-house engraved dials of brass, sterling silver, copper, and gold alloy. Produced in limited batches, the dials are patinaed, painted, and hand finished individually to produce a one-of-a-kind item. The end result is an eye-catching dial that feels equally precious yet rugged – akin to that of a well-loved vintage timepiece. Due to the individual nature of the finishing process (as well as the properties of the patinas and materials themselves) no two dials are truly alike.
Tailored for Each and Every Wrist
With a focus on versatility, wearability, and elegant proportions, the Intaglio dials can be paired with a classic 36mm Midsize case or a new 37mm case (limited to 37 pieces). Both feature a AR-coated sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, and glass display back. Each one is powered by an uncompromising and robust 25-jewel automatic movement, with the customer having a choice of ETA 2824-2 (with perlage finish), Swiss Valanvron 24, or STP1-11 movement.
All are assembled and calibrated in house to +/- 3-6 seconds per day, it’s hard not to be impressed with the quality of these Bespoke Watch Projects “Intaglio Edition” Watches. Last but not least, each made-to-order timepiece is fitted with a selection of vintage-style strap or a unique handmade strap in contoured and padded leather. More customisation options and special orders are also available. Each watch is assembled, tested, and packaged in their Oakland, California studio by the founder & watchmaker John Beck McConnico.
Maintaining a personal and individualised approach is paramount to his approach, with the interest of providing a special piece for each customer that is of great value as well as personal expression. The Midsize Intaglio Edition starts at $680 US, while the new “Intaglio 37” Edition is currently priced at $1,280.
For a limited time The Coolector readers can also save an additional 15% through July 1st (code “COLLECTOR”).
Swiss Heart, American Soul
Inspired by horological tradition, driven by collaboration, and fuelled by modern design, Bespoke Watch Projects creates limited production mechanical timepieces. The brand was founded in 2013 by designer, visual artist, and horologist John Beck McConnico. Having a background in creative direction, design, and fine art, John culls from his experience in creating products and campaigns for brands such as Apple, Sony, and NBC—as well as two decades of watch collecting, painting, and mixed media art.
The result is an approach that applies non-traditional methods to the production of unique timepieces. More information can be found on their website as well as the active Instagram feed, where the latest studio work is shared. After a watch that dares to be different this summer? You’ve just find the ideal candidate in these “Intaglio Edition” Watches from Bespoke Watch Projects.
