The guys at Worn & Wound have teamed up with some of our favourite watch brands here at The Coolector and so it has proven once again with one of their latest collabs – these retro-tastic Brew x Worn & Wound Chrono Regulator Watches. Billed as eccentric watches for eccentric people, this second collaboration between the two brands provides a colourful twist on one of Brew’s most popular timepieces that makes use of a Seiko Instruments Meca-Quartz calibre movement in an unexpected way.

Prices for the Brew x Worn & Wound Chrono Regulator Watches start at $549 and, in our humble opinion, this is great value for such an attractive and stylish series of timepieces from two well-respected brands. The watch is a regulator watch, a rare type of watch that has a 24-hour sub-dial between two and three and no central hour hand. It is even rarer because it also has chronograph functionality.

Using Brew’s Metric series of watches as their inspiration, these Chrono Regulators are sleek 36mm watches with a square or cushion-shaped case. They have bracelets that flow like those of integrated sports watches, and their 70s vibe is eye-catching in the extreme. They are compact and thin, making them a great size for all wrists. For the collaboration, concentric circles have been added to the surface around the dial, and the pushers have been colour-coordinated with the dials.

The dials are distinguished by heavy circular graining that radiates from the 24-hour sub-dial at 2:00, drawing attention to this striking new design feature. Applied markers and double indices around the dial enhance the legibility and precision of the minutes and chrono-seconds. The dials are available in three eye-catching colours: Moss Green, Sky Blue, and Ruby Red. The Brew x Worn & Wound Chrono Regulators are powered by the VK68 Meca-Quartz chronograph movement, a hybrid movement that combines the accuracy of quartz with the feel of a mechanical chronograph.
