Of all the vehicles which are synonymous with Great British motoring, it’s fair to say that the Mini is right up there with the best of them and whilst we’re big fans of this vehicle here at Coolector HQ, we’ve certainly never seen any quite as mesmerisingly cool as these amazing Remastered Minis by David Brown – a UK based specialist in restoring and upgrading vehicles.

This stunning project aims to remaster the icon of British motoring and bring it well and truly into the 21st century with some first rate design flourishes and features that will add immeasurably to the luxury of the ride. The David Brown Mini Remastered project was recently unveiled in the Shoreditch area of London (our neck of the woods) and seamlessly blends modern technology with traditional coachbuilding techniques to deliver exceptionally cool and stylish vehicles that we’re loving here at Coolector HQ.

Masterful Mini

The iconic Mini, with their typically understated interiors (in the classic versions, at least), lends itself perfectly to the revamping and remastering bestowed upon it by David Brown and if you’re a fan of having the latest mod-cons such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Keyless-Go and USB connectivity then these amazing custom machines are certainly going to be right up your street.

The David Brown Mini Remastered boasts an incredibly dapper, bespoke crafted interior that harks back to classical styling but delivers contemporary technology and looks like the sort of car interior Don Draper would appreciate if he lived in modern times. These amazing interiors have been completely hand-built using traditional coachbuilding techniques at David Brown’s new headquarters in the Silverstone area of the UK and the attention to detail and quality of finish really is second to none.

To be released in two limited edition productions, the David Brown Remastered Mini takes its design inspiration from cafe racers and the Monte Carlo race scene and this positively shines through in the interior, exterior and all the neat design flourishes and accessories that immediately draw the eye upon entering the vehicle.

Phenomenal Features

Amazingly, each one of these phenomenal machines is built by hand from the ground up using new body panels, which are remastered in-house by David Brown Automotive to provide elegant and flush surfaces with perfect shut lines. Additionally, the exterior of the Minis have been refined, aesthetically softened and ‘cleaned’ by de-seaming the silhouette and welding in bespoke structural beams. As you can see, a lot of effort has gone into making these vehicles really stand out from the crowd.

There are a lot of little finishing touches to a David Brown Remastered Mini including custom-built aluminium grilles and a full LED exterior rear light cluster boasting the same jewel-like details and bezels that is witnessed in the iconic Speedback GT. Every car produced will provide handmade enamel David Brown Automotive badges along with all the contemporary visual touches that will make you love it even more such as puddle lights fitted to each classic bullet-style wing mirror.
