There are, pleasingly, a growing number of watch brands to choose from when looking for British watchmakers but one of the best to emerge in the last few years is definitely that of Farer. Regulars here on the pages of The Coolector, we’ve always got our eye out for new releases from this purveyor of devilishly dapper timepieces and they’ve wowed us once again with their Three Hand Automatic Watches collection which consists of some mighty striking watches that you’ll love.
The Three Hand Automatic Watches from Farer are designed with a simplicity that exudes individuality and this collection boasts intricate levels of detailing that leads the way in classic dial design. Taking their design inspiration from the halcyon-era of watchmaking – they do a fantastic job of combining bold colours with refined lines to create a collection that has a striking presence. Farer Hopewell II – £875
The Hopewell II from Farer (£875) is designed to have a full, elegant dial colour and make an impact on the wrist. Following Farer’s distinctive British design philosophy of bold colours, eye-catching textures and unrivalled levels of attention to detail, this will be your go to watch day in, day out. Sitting against the deep blue sunray, double step, vintage curved dial are the classically shaped syringe hands finished in British pillar box gloss red. Super Lumi-Nova finishing is added to the in-fill of the hands and in a micro dot pattern around the dial marking each hour index to deliver a watch you can’t take your eyes off. (£875)
Farer Beagle II – £875
The standout feature of the Beagle II Watch from Farer (£875) is the use of a vibrant, apple green on the hands and numerals – something which is seldom seen in the modern watch market. The numerals are over-printed 10 times against the vintage curved dial to ensure there is a detailed depth and subtle domed effect upon close inspection and they are outlined by a microfine key line of jet black. Although it nods towards a vintage approach, the Beagle II is designed with a number of contemporary colour twists. The most prominent being on the end of curved sweeping second hand with the use of postbox red Farer A tip. (£875)
Farer Endurance II – £875
The sharp design of the Endurance II watch from Farer (£875) stems from the silver sunray vintage curved dial with blue and red accents which is elegant and striking at the same time. The numerals are over-printed 10 times to create a detailed depth and subtle domed effect on close inspection, outlined by a microfine key line of pure white. The surrounding split track design has been stylised with Super Lumi-Nova hour dot markers that link to the in-fill of the Farer syringe-style hour and minute hands. (£875)
