Priced at £895, the Farer Thurso Watch is excellent value for money and we’re big fans of the bold, vibrant visuals of this effortlessly classy timepiece. The retro colour palette has a splash of silver surf which covers the dial and this is framed by a burnt orange minute track and bold dot and dash markers infilled with mint Super-LumiNova. Deep blue oversized arrow hour hand and minute pointer hand deliver a distinctive hierarchy, allowing for quick readings against the outer sports bezel.

Finished off in impressive anodised teal aluminium and incased within a steel 120 click Swiss-made super smooth unidirectional system, there is an awful lot to appreciate with the Thurso – especially when you consider the sub-£1000 price tag. With day/date in classic English or French, this is a watch packed full of functionality and good times. The case is cut from a solid block of marine grade 316L Stainless Steel and the polished case back is decorated in an engraved Farer arrow marque and wave detail, which protects the Swiss-made Sellita SW220-1 movement and Incabloc Novodiac shock-absorber held within – reaching 41 hours power reserve when fully wound.

Made with underwater adventures in mind, the Thurso Watch boasts a robust screw-in steel crown and a 200m/656ft depth rating. Framing the dial is the innovatively engineered, unidirectional bezel with inset aluminium coloured ring, finely adjusted to 120 clicks. A completely flat crystal sits within and this means no glass is unprotected from side knocks, while an ultra hardened anti-reflective coating has been applied inside and out to give a clear view whatever the weather. Another exquisite entry into Farer’s already magnificent line up of timepieces.
