We like our alcohol as much as the next man (possibly even more) here at Coolector HQ but even we hadn’t really considered owning a chair specifically crafted with booze imbibing in mind but that was clearly because we hadn’t encountered the awesome looking Glenlivet Nàdurra Chair by the talented artisan, Gareth Neal, before. This sumptuously crafted piece of seating looks wonderfully luxurious and may well be the next piece of furniture to cross the Coolector HQ threshold if we have it our way.
Working in conjunction with Glenlivet, super talented, London-based woodworker, Gareth Neal, hand-crafted the stunning looking Nàdurra Dram Chair which has been conceived to celebrate Glenlivet’s latest tipple and the piece takes its design inspiration from 19th century techniques that reflects the ideals of the Glenlivet brand and the finished product is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a slug of your favourite whisky.
Neal works with locally sourced, top quality materials and this is extremely evident in the visually brilliant Nàdurra Dram Chair that he has crafted and such is its aesthetic appeal, it lends itself to more or less any type of dwelling. Working as part of The New Craftsmen, a collection of Britain’s finest crafts makers, it is little wonder Neal was selected for the creation of this fine piece of seating that will appeal to any whisky swilling fellow who likes to sit and ruminate in a highly stylish piece of furniture. Check out a few more shots of the Nàdurra Chair below and a video of Neal in action during its crafting:

Whilst a craft ale chair might have been better suited to our own particular palate here at The Coolector, there’s no denying the impeccable craftsmanship of Neal’s work and for a whisky aficionado, there are likely to be few better places to sit and reflect with a glass of one of the finest whiskeys on the market. We’re big advocates of those chaps who are skilled craftsmen and Gareth Neal definitely falls into this category which is why he was chosen to be a part of this project from Glenlivet. A top notch piece of craftsmanship.
