With the World Cup kicking off today in Brazil, it’s only right that we have a football themed post here on the pages of The Coolector and what better choice than a highly distinctive series of artwork from Italian illustrator, Davide Bonazzi, chronicling the illustrious History of FIFA World Cup.
In this series of artwork, Bonazzi, has taken the most important goal scored in every World Cup Final from when the tournament began back in 1930 in Uruguay right through to the last World Cup in South Africa in 2010. Some truly iconic goals have been captured within Bonazzi’s top notch artwork, such as Zindane’s header in the 1998 World Cup in France and Geoff Hurst classic goal in the 1966 World Cup Final.
We’re big fans of football here at Coolector HQ and this cracking collection of World Cup moments has got us even more excited about the event which kicks off in a mere matter of hours now and if you’re of an equally as ardent footballing mindset, you too will likely appreciate the efforts Bonazzi has gone to in order to catalogue some of the most important World Cup moments from the last 80 years. Kudos, sir, great work indeed.
