The ancient Egyptians were a talented bunch, what with their giant pyramids and hieroglyphics and it is mind-boggling to think that they were making these scrawls all those years ago. Well, in a nod to that exceptionalness, self-confessed nerd and illustrator, Josh Ln, has come up with his own iteration which has the clever moniker of Hero-glyphics and entails some of our favourite superheroes depicted in the style of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics.
With the likes of Spiderman, X-Men and Star Trek all putting in an appearance, this excellent illustration project certainly appeals to our geeky side here at Coolector HQ and we’re particularly enjoying Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being treated as a deity of some sort, placated with pizza. A top notch project from the talented graphic designer, Josh Ln, that has got us wondering whether Spiderman et al perhaps were knocking about thousands of year again.
