So far as making amazing, custom 4×4 vehicles go, there really are few workshops out there doing it better than the guys at New Legend 4×4 and a fine indicator of this fact is their latest release, the spectacular LS800-TWO which has a price-tag of $145,000 but, lamentably if you’ve already fallen for it, has been snapped up by some lucky individual already. This spectacular steed comes in a Harvester Red with an Army Rock hard top for the ultimate in old school cool aesthetics.
The 5.3L LS (350hp) engine of the New Legend 4×4 LS800-TWO gives it a robust, powerful performance that you’d demand from a 4×4 vehicle and the NV3550 Standard gearbox gives the sort of off-roading capabilities that will make sure that it will make short work of any undulating terrains. This first class machine from American workshop, New Legend 4×4 has certainly caught our eye at The Coolector and for those with a love of off-roading machines, it will be right up your street too.
Scout’s Honour
Famed for the quality of their Scout restorations, New Legend 4×4 have excelled themselves with the LS800-TWO. This particular Scout has had a longer-than-typical history with the team at New Legend. It was first brought to their sister brand, Anything Scout, for a basic LS swap by the previous owner, the truck was completed and delivered only to sit relatively unused for some time. After this, it eventually made its way back to their workshop, which is when they came to the conclusion that it was an ideal candidate for the full Legend Series treatment.
Boasting a fully restored and repainted Harvester Red 1967 body, the New Legend 4×4 LS800-TWO certainly catches the eye straight away and they kept the newly installed 350hp 5.3L LS and upgraded everything else. This included a New Outrider chassis, suspension, all new waxed canvas interior, 2” lift, freshly painted top, contemporary sound system, and top of the range safety features. Basically everything you could ask for in a more than capable daily driver.
In classic New Legend style, on the day the final bolt was torqued down, they rolled this classic 4×4 out of the shop, drove the 1,200 or so miles to Arizona, and ran the full Copperstate Overland without missing a beat. This just goes to show the immense build quality of the creations of New Legend 4×4 and for anyone in the market for the ultimate in off-roading machines, this would definitely be one of our first ports of call here at The Coolector.
Interior Superior
It’s great to see that New Legend 4×4 don’t just rest on their laurels in making the exterior of their machines look the best, they also focus heavily on ensuring the interiors are as good as they can be too. With the LS800-TWO you’ll find heat and sound insulation throughout interior, fully integrated factory gauges and transmission shifter, original low-back 1967 style seats, custom Field Tan waxed canvas upholstery and integrated USB charging ports to name but a few of the most impressive internal features.
We’ve featured the fine creations of New Legend 4×4 on the pages of The Coolector before but the LS800-TWO might just be our favourite creation to date from this wonderfully skilled workshop. The problem with making such majestic looking machines is that they certainly don’t hang around on the shelves for long so if you like one that you see from this excellent workshop, you’ll need to move quickly to secure it.
