We’re partial to a spot of horror here at Coolector HQ and there is often something more frightening about things that you can’t see than things that you can but, if Lights Out is anything to go by, then there’s something decidedly frightening about both.
Lights Out is the work of David F Sandberg who entered it into a short horror film competition called Bloody Cuts Horror Challenge and, given it left us here at Coolector HQ utterly horrified, it perhaps isn’t all that surprising to hear that he took home the Best Director gong.
There’s no doubting that horror is largely psychological so it’s difficult to build up a sense of dread in the sub-3 minute running time of Lights Out but Sandberg somehow manages to and you’ll likely be sleeping with your lights on this evening after watching this ridiculously terrifying short film.
