With Christmas now so close, we’re really ramping up our search for awesome menswear brands so we can request their wares this festive period here at Coolector HQ. This led us squarely to the door of Scottish brand, Meander Apparel, and their cracking line up of menswear and accessories.

Meander Apparel is a clothing brand who are on a mission to simplify life for the modern adventurer with a versatile and functional collection that boasts both style and performance in spades. Created by Jill and Steve Henry and inspired by their love of adventure, the great outdoors, travel and minimalist Scandinavian design. What’s not to like? Meander Apparel Recycled Parka Jacket – £295

When the winter really sets in, you’re going to want a quality jacket to reach for and you’ll be hard pressed to beat the Recycled Parka from Meander Apparel (£295). It has been designed to take you through the elements and the Meander Apparel have used plastic bottles which been transformed to a three layer innovative soft shell fabric that’s waterproof and breathable. The hydrophilic molecular membrane swells in moisture, meaning the more you sweat, the more moisture can be transported outward. The fabric and membrane used in their parka are made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. by using the same raw material for the membrane and layers of fabric, Meander Apparel have also ensured that the finished product is fully recyclable, where many waterproof membrane fabrics are not. It is a classic sweat made with soft brushed organic cotton and treated with Polygiene anti odour technology which means you can wear it all week long without the need to wash it. It has been crafted from organic cotton which is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment while maintaining soil fertility and eliminate the use of toxic substances in pesticides and fertilisers. The organic cotton uses significantly less water (up to 88% less) and less energy (up to 62% less) to grow compared with non-organic cotton and significantly reduces greenhouse emissions so this is genuinely a sweater you can feel good about wearing.
