We’re not going to lie, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were one of our most abiding childhood memories here at Coolector HQ and when we came across these stunning First Turtle Figures from Mondo that are based on an original doodle that the show’s creators, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, did on a napkin back in 1983 we were in our element and we’re sure there will be plenty of like-minded chaps who are equally as enamoured with these fantastic pieces of art.
Mondo are a Texas based purveyor of, typically, limited edition screen printed posters so these brilliant looking Turtle Figures are a departure from their normal wares but, in our humble opinion, a very welcome one and doubtlessly one that all manner of men will want residing in their workspaces sooner rather than later. Crafted from PVC and featuring 5 points of articulation, and illustration-accurate details, there won’t be a TMNT fan alive who won’t be won over by its charms. Check out some more shots below:
Available in three different colourways – a black and white one (like the original sketch) and ones with both red and orange masks, you’ll be able to pick one that suits your own particular design preferences and if you know (or you yourself are) a fan of TMNT then this is a highly unique and unusual piece of design that will likely increase in value when they become real collector’s items in the future. A great nod to an iconic creation that has enjoyed decades of success.
