Montblanc are a watchmaker that we’ve always had a lot of time for here at Coolector HQ and whenever they deign to release a new timepiece on the market, we’re invariably incredibly eager to see it and one of their latest releases is even more extraordinary than most in terms of both aesthetic appeal and functionality. The Montblanc Homage to Nicolas Rieussec Watch is a veritable feat of design and engineering and, without question, one of the most striking timepieces that this Swiss watchmaker has been responsible for in their illustrious history.
The supremely well crafted Montblanc Homage to Nicolas Rieussec Watch is an astounding piece of horology that is a real credit to Montblanc and has left us thoroughly impressed here at The Coolector. This visually stunning timepiece is, of course, inspired by Nicolas Rieussec who, back in 1821 patented a chronograph watch with a distinctive style and movement and which inspired Montblanc to create this homage to his legacy and quite the homage it is. This exceptional timepiece boasts a dial which pays tribute to a legendary horse race on Paris Champs de Mars in September 1821 (with the horse being fully luminous at night time), a transparent, sapphire crystal caseback and a fantastically accurate chronograph movement. Check out a few more shots of this jaw-dropping timepiece below:
This spectacular timepiece is being released this October and for those watch collectors who love an exclusive watch, you’ll be delighted to hear the Montblanc Homage to Nicolas Rieussec Watch is limited to just 100 pieces. We’re astounded with the luxurious nature of this timepiece here at The Coolector and we’ve always favoured the aesthetic of Montblanc watches and this one definitely doesn’t do their reputation for producing unparalleled timepieces any harm whatsoever.
