As fans of the original Pebble watches (but perhaps not their plastic design), we here at The Coolector were definitely all ears when we discovered that they were about to release a much more visually appealing number that goes by the name of Pebble Steel and, as you can see above, its a dapper little fella, which remains compatible with Pebble’s original array of apps for smartphones.
The new incarnation has forgone the plastic shell to encase the watch face and has, instead, opted for the more refined and stylish steel number you see before you. There are a whole raft of new features associated with the Pebble Steel that will likely impress and make you want to add one to your wrist such as the fact its crafted with stainless steel and corning gorilla glass, waterproof to 5ATM, a 5-7 day battery life, a tri-colour LED display and each Pebble Steel comes with both a leather a stainless steel bracelet.
You can get a Steel in either a matte black or brushed stainless steel variety and we here at The Coolector are firm fans of both – check out a few shots of this cracking little device below:
If you’re in the market for a cool-looking smartwatch that looks a little more grown up than the previous Pebble device, you should well find an ally in the Pebble Steel, which is set for release this February. We here at Coolector will hope to get our hands on one sooner rather than later.
