Red Bull Illume Photo Contest

Red Bull are known for lending a hand to those who like to live the adrenaline soaked lifestyle through the promotion of all sort of action packed events. Needless to say, this leads to some mightily impressive photo opportunities so, naturally, the good chaps at Red Bull have given people to showcase their photographic capabilities with their Red Bull Illume Photo Contest – and this year’s event has definitely seen some jaw-dropping entrants throw their hat into the ring.

The Red Bull Illume Award is billed as the world’s leading international photo competition of action and adventure sports – we’re talking your surfing, skate-boarding, mountain biking and base jumping – and the results are genuinely nothing short of extraordinary. Take a look at some of 2013’s entries for this event below:

The finalists of the competition are set to be unveiled on the 29th of August but as you can see from the images above, the standard is incredibly high. Here at The Coolector, we highly value photography of this calibre and, truth be told, almost all of the photos submitted for the Red Bull Illume competition are certainly worthy of some sort of accolade.
