We like robots here at The Coolector. We also like great woodwork projects and that is exactly the reason that we love this smashing RobotWood project from Paraguayan industrial designer, Rolo Ocampos.
Crafted things with your own two hands with wood is doubtlessly something that is highly rewarding and, given our love of Nick Offerman, it pains us that we’re so inept at such endeavours here at Coolector HQ. That being said, that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate those are skilled in this field as Ocampos clearly is with his brilliantly designed little robots crafted from wood and looking all sorts of awesome. With a distinct industrial aesthetic and a dash of colour, these spiffing little things definitely get our nod of approval – check out some more shots below:
Though we’re almost certainly too old to enjoy toys outwardly here at The Coolector we can still appreciate them for their design and the fact they remind us of some of the cracking bits and pieces we used to play with yesteryear and these supremely well designed RobotWood pieces are some of the best we’ve seen of late. A superb example of how you can create genuinely striking designs with the right skills at your disposal.
