We love T-shirts here at Coolector HQ. They are our clothing weakness and we spend a lot more time than we probably should on the hunt for new brands to enjoy but often times we find ourselves gravitating back to those we know do it well and Italian illustrator, Rocco Malatesta, is one of the best at producing super cool, illustrative and typography tees that we’re big fans of.
Rocco Malatesta is an accomplished artist, who has crafted a fantastic array of prints which we’ve always thought would make great apparel and we were delighted when he took the leap into making T-shirts. His small batch production of printed tees have a very distinctive aesthetic and will definitely look the part as part of your layering this fall.
Smash & Dash
The T-shirts from Rocco Malatesta’s latest range all boast a trademark phrase to go along with one of his great looking illustrations with a few of our favourites at Coolector HQ being ‘Smash & Dash’, ‘Abracadabra Motherfucker’ and ‘Life Taker, Heartbreaker’. The stylised illustrations that Malatesta creates really do lend themselves to this type of apparel and we’re not surprised that whenever he creates new wares like this, they positively fly off the shelves.
Each of the T-shirts in the latest range are made from 100% ring spun cotton for that extra level of comfort and their fit is great. We love the aesthetics of all of the German illustrator’s work so if you head to his site for a tee, we’re pretty sure you’ll find yourself ordering one if his excellent prints as well.
Comfort and Style
T-shirts are what we find ourselves in most here at Coolector HQ so we need to build up a weighty list of go-to guys when it comes to getting our apparel and the quality of the designs from Malatesta always keep us coming back. Whilst the T-shirts he produces are normally in small quantities, and sell out quick, new designs are regularly added so we recommend heading back often to see what’s new.
Perfect for casual autumn trips to the pub and for day to day wear, these great looking new tees from Rocco Malatesta are just the sort of clothing we favour at The Coolector and we can’t see what the talented chap has got in store for 2017.
