Shinola are a watchmaker that we have a hell of a lot of time for here at Coolector HQ and we’re constantly hovering around their website waiting for new great timepieces to emerge from their Detroit watchmaking stable and our patience has been rewarded once again with one of their latest offerings – a limited edition number that celebrates the pioneering Wright Brothers and their huge part in the birth of aviation.
The Shinola Wright Brothers watch celebrates two of the most iconic names in the world of aviation who gave birth to flight and is the Detroit watchmaker’s first timepiece in their “Great American Series” of watches. This spectacularly crafted timepiece is certainly right up our street here at The Coolector insomuch as its made in the right way, celebrates the lives of two truly revolutionary people and is devilishly stylish to boot.
As with most limited edition watches, particularly those by brands as popular as Shinola, you’ll need to move quick if you want to get your wrist on one and this iteration in particular is likely to go quickly with just 500 pieces in production. It boasts a high-accuracy quartz Argonite 705 quartz movement which has been made by hand in Detroit from a series of Swiss components and also offers sapphire crystal glass front, top notch chocolate brown horleen leather strap and a black display with super-luminova hands. Check out some shots of this supremely spiffing timepiece below:
