As you’re likely aware, Kickstarter is a real favourite destination of ours here at The Coolector when it comes to finding new watch brands and we never seem to leave disappointed when on the hunt for some impressive timepieces on the crowdfunding platform. Well, it’s served us well once again with these great-looking Sirrush Corbetti Watches which are a supercar inspired series of chronograph watches with Swiss quality and Scandinavian design and all at an affordable price point. What’s not to like?
The Sirrush Corbetti Watches on Kickstarter have a starting price of $282 which is a small price to pay for such an accomplished looking watch. The dapper nature of the design really makes these watches stand out from the crowd and Scandinavian watchmakers, Sirrush, know what they’re doing when it comes to making attractive, top-performing timepieces. Born from a passion and desire to create objects of the highest quality, at a reasonable price, these watches are right up our street at Coolector HQ. In its crafting, Sirrush has chosen the best materials available on the market for every single component.
Swiss Inspired Design
For the Corbetti Collection, Sirrush has relied on the advice and know-how of Swiss professionals with many years of experience in watchmaking and only the very best materials to handcraft every each timepiece. Their watches are water-resistant to 200 meters and offer Swiss-made movement (assembled in Switzerland) through the Ronda Calibre 5040D, 316L stainless steel casing, Super-LumiNova BGW9 grade A lume and striking ceramic bezel.
For the design process of these Corbetti Watches on Kickstarter (from $282), Sirrush took their design inspiration from the world of supercars. They carefully designed every detail of these fantastic looking timepieces and every component has a reason and a story behind why it was chosen. Sirrush make it a point to only use the very best materials to handcraft every each watch but still making them an affordable option for any watch aficionados out there.
Supercars such as Bugatti, McLaren and Lotus were the design inspiration for the Corbetti series of watches from Sirrush but they wanted to apply Scandinavian minimalism to the design which isn’t something you typically associate with supercars so the challenge was substantial. But, as you can see, it is something that they’ve managed to pull off with some considerable aplomb.
Top Quality Materials Throughout
The Corbetti measures 42 millimetres and fits perfectly on all wrist sizes and shapes and the 120-click unidirectional ceramic bezel features a tachymetric scale coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 grade A to ensure optimal legibility in low light conditions. The bezel and the screw-down crown is decorated with “Clous de Paris” motif making it very easy to grasp.
Sunken into the matte dial are three evenly balanced sub-dials and these sit relatively central to the dial, just caressing the end of the 3,6 and 9 indices. Commanding the dial of the Corbetti is bold, polished applied indices and hour and minute hands with the fully threaded stainless-steel caseback with a 3D engraving of Corbetti Tiger head finishing off the aesthetic perfectly.
