As the weather begins to become chillier after an unseasonal heatwave around Coolector HQ, we are inevitably turning our attention to outerwear and the sorts of jackets we’ll be sporting over the next few months. As always this led us squarely to the door of &SONS and their awesome line up of coats – the latest of which to have caught our eye is their Boardwalk Peacoat in the stylish Pea Green colourway. Decidedly dapper and perfect for the colder autumn and winter months, this should be a leading contender if you’re on the hunt for a new coat right now.
The &SONS Peacoat in Pea Green retails for £350 and boasts the sort of heritage quality we’ve come to expect from the British menswear brand. This classy accessory is perfect for everywhere from the high seas to the high street and this timeless utilitarian coat is the ultimate outer layer for any man with a pioneering spirit for adventure. The classic silhouette of a peacoat is something that can’t be beaten and a new season brings a new distinctive aesthetic for &SONS – one we’re definitely on board with.
Brilliantly designed using the finest materials, &SONS has created a special piece of outerwear that is inspired by the archives of style. It has all the same much-loved details as the original, and it was a true labour of love for the brand’s Creative Director and Founder, Phil James. The heavyweight 22oz Melton wool that has been woven exclusively for &SONS, and the oversized buttons that have been forged from recycled metal, are just two examples of the carefully considered and consciously sourced materials that have been used in its construction. There has been no compromise on quality in the making of this garment.
For the Boardwalk Peacoat, &SONS have used a fabric called Modal, a sustainable material crafted from beech tree pulp, for the lining of this coat. Modal is more absorbent than cotton and has 50% more microfibres, making it ideal for withstanding the elements. The wool used in the Boardwalk Peacoat is also recycled from old woollen garments, which are repurposed and spun into new yarn. This makes our coat both sustainable and wearable. Which we’d call a win/win.
