Dark Knight Rises
For this latest release, it is the ultimate showdown as UNDON E bring you their third and latest collection of Batman inspired timepieces. Their team explores a new perspective in the Batman story and the world of watch design for this awesome limited edition offering and the stealthy aesthetics are right up our street here at Coolector HQ. This is a fight between the good and the evil, more specifically, Batman and the supervillain, The Riddler; and UNDONE’s own relentless efforts to push the boundaries of watch design and craftsmanship.
The UNDONE Batman Dark Knight Retrospective Watch ($499) isn’t only for The Caped Crusader aficionados and its universal appeal comes from the clever combination of an inspired 1960s Batmobile design and rare watch features that were only seen on high-end luxury watches to deliver a timepiece that is obviously inspired by Batman but looks about as classy and cool as it gets at the same time. There are various nods to the Batmobile (the 1960s version) throughout the design aesthetic of this watch such as the bulletproof windshield that is represented by an anti-reflective glass vault lens that curves around beautifully for a refined visuals.
Along the sandwich case of this jaw-dropping watch are red aluminium rings, prominently around the crown and the glass fold which is an effortlessly cool design element that’s a nod to the crimson pinstripes on the Batmobile, a modified 1955 Ford Lincoln Futura, driven by Batman in the 60s. Another stand out feature of this watch is the satin black DLC coated 316L stainless steel case that is finished with a red anodised aluminium trim. This houses the ruthenium plated Japanese TMI NH72 Mechanical Skeleton Movement with an Automatic Winding Mechanism (supplied by SEIKO Manufacturing (H.K.) Limited) with a 42-hour power reserve and a water-resistance is guaranteed up to 3 ATM/30 Meters. Love Batman? Then this, my friend, is the watch for you.
