I’m not going to lie, we’ve been pretty preoccupied with the Playstation 4 and the XBOX One here at Coolector HQ to such an extent that there are other iterations out there that are equally as worthy of our attention and chief amongst these pretenders to the throne is the astonishing looking Valve Steam Machine.
Most PC gamers will already be au fait with Valve and what they offer but, for those who aren’t, Valve is billed as the ultimate entertainment platform for playing and creating games and offers users a chance to browse and purchase games online. Well, you may or may not have been aware that Valve are throwing their hat into the console ring in 2014 with their mightily impressive Valve Steam Machine.
Though console aficionados may be reticent to admit it, consoles (even next generation ones) can’t really hold a candle to PCs from a performance point of view and Valve know this full well and they aim to showcase this with the Valve Steam Machine. The SteamOS is what will really set this machine apart and the video below gives a little insight into this:

Details about the Steam Machine are still a bit sketchy but it certainly looks as though it will be capable of giving the PS4 and XBOX One a run for its money.
