We love watches that have a compelling backstory and that’s why we’re always drawn to timepieces like the Triumph Collection from William Wood Watches. This eye-catching, fire-fighter-inspired series of timepieces are about as striking and stylish as they come and they are the perfect gift for any firefighters out there.
Priced at £2520, the Triumph Collection from William Wood is the sort of luxury timepiece that will turn heads everywhere you go and be a real talking point for the wearer. They boast Swiss-made precision as they have been crafted in the Jura Mountains of Switzerland which is the world’s epicentre of luxury watchmaking, also known as Watch Valley. It is home to the elite Swiss watch manufacturers and where William Wood chose to build their awesome new Triumph Collection.
Overflowing with super-cool features, the Triumph Collection has sub-dials that take their design inspiration from the dashboard gauges within a fire engine cockpit. Reminiscent of pressure pumps, the sub hands are finished in red, blue or gold to match the main chronograph hand, shaped in the style of a vintage fire bell chime. The chronograph hand and 30-minute sub-dial is operated by the antique brass finish buttons located on the side of the case.
Available in three different versions – Heat, Fuel and Oxygen – the Triumph Collection from William Wood is definitely one of our favourite releases from the British watch brand to date and it’s little wonder that this collection is amongst their most popular. They have really pushed the envelope this time with a genuine Italian leather watch presentation box directly inspired by a fire alarm. This unboxing will set your mind alight and adds a touch of class to the timepiece as a whole. The box is the ideal travel companion size and has a real wow factor when unboxing your new watch.
The Swiss movement ensures the reliability of the Triumph Collection of watches and they utilise the SW510 chronograph movement which has a push button stopwatch, 60-second sub-dial (9 pm), 30-minute sub-dial (3 pm) and date window (6 pm). The movement is 30mm in diameter, has an impressive power reserve of 48 hours, and has exceptional accuracy with 27 jewelled bearings.
For this release, William Wood have created a one of kind custom-made fire alarm case back. The Sellita SW510 movement resides within as the fire alarm, and a glass partition between the emergency plate ‘In case of fire break glass’. This really is one of the watch brand’s proudest inventions yet and an iconic statement aligned to the firefighting heritage of William Wood Watches. For the strap, you can choose from William Wood’s full range of upcycled fire hose straps to compliment your Triumph Collection watch.
