Though we’re by no means entirely au fait with the Chinese New Year here at The Coolector, we did, at least, know that it is currently the Year of the Horse and we’ve just stumbled across a fantastically designed and branded piece from MM Identity Lab and it is the awesome looking Year of the Horse Card Deck Calendar you see before you.
MM Identity Lab are based in Arizona and they teamed up with a bunch of local businesses to work on this top notch looking self-promotion project that showcases their branding capabilities in the form of this excellent looking Card Deck Calendar that celebrates the Year of the Horse. We love playing cards here at Coolector HQ and haven’t seen a set that also represents a calendar as well so our impressed meter has risen still further.
We realized that there is a direct correlation with the seasons of the year and a deck of cards, and set forth to create a calendar that could double as a deck of playing cards.
The superbly crafted deck calendar from MM Identity Lab not only looks great but is an excellent project which has shown a collaboration with other companies around them to create a really excellent looking product that has form, function and no shortage of cool.
As you can see, the product looks entirely awesome and we love the creative process behind its manufacture which isn’t done justice in just the images above so here’s a video too that showcases their processes and how the cracking Year of the Horse Deck Calendar from MM Identity Lab came to fruition.

We love this project and though we’re not celebrators of the Chinese New Year here at Coolector HQ, products as awesome of this will definitely sit well on our desk and we’d love to get our hands on one.
