YEMA Superman Bronze CMM.10 Watches

French watchmakers, YEMA, have long been one of our favourites here at Coolector HQ and they will soon be returning to the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, with a new series of eye-catching and adventure-ready timepieces – namely, the Superman Bronze CMM.10 Watches. Hitting Kickstarter next week, this new campaign comes after three years of intense development which means that YEMA is now ready to present its new 3-hand Manufacture calibre with modern architecture boasting chronometric precision, 70-hour power reserve and high resistance to magnetic fields and shocks. What’s not to like?

The new YEMA Superman Bronze CMM.10 Watches will be available in two dial colours (Gradient Blue and wonderfully stealthy-looking, Lacquered Black) and in 39mm and 41mm versions to suit different wrist sizes. The Superman Bronze CMM.10 model is limited to 1,948 numbered copies at a pre-order rate of just €999 (€1,199 including tax for EU residents) which represents -44% off €1,790 MSRP (-33% for EU residents) during the Kickstarter campaign and they will begin shipping in April-May 2024.

Impressive both inside and out, the Superman Bronze CMM.10 has a calibre designed and developed by YEMA in-house and this ensures a high quality performance day in, day out. The components (the bridges and mainplate) are manufactured directly in the brand’s YEMA workshops in Morteau, including assemblies, adjustments and checks so you can rest assured that you are getting a high quality timepiece on your wrist upon the conclusion of this Kickstarter campaign.

Back in 2019, the first Superman Bronze in history was released with the aim of supporting an oceanographic mission studying a family of 30 sperm whales from the Indian Ocean over several years. And now an evolution of the iconic Superman Bronze model equipped with the very latest Manufacture CMM.10 calibre has been designed in collaboration with François Sarano, famous French oceanographer and founder of the NGO Longitude 181. This marine protection association pursues this sperm whale scientific mission, now in Mediterranean waters.

This new bronze version from YEMA is purpose-built for diving professionals. It is available in 39mm and 41mm sizes, and features high-quality brushed and polished finishes that give it a unique neo-vintage appearance. The bronze will patina over time depending on its use and exposure to weather conditions, making each watch unique and authentic. The classic Superman hands have been refined for a more balanced look.

The iconic “shovel” second hand has been replaced by a lollipop sweep hand for improved readability. This collectable timepiece also features a high-quality double-domed sapphire crystal that’s 2.20 mm thick, providing increased resistance and a decidedly neo-vintage design aesthetic.
