If, like us here at The Coolector, you were born in the 80s/90s, chances are you will have spent plenty of time in your local Laser Tag establishment and if you’re looking to relive those glory days, the guys at Zodiac and Worn & Wound have got just the thing for you. The Zodiac x Worn & Wound Super Sea Wolf Laser Tag Watch is a limited edition offering that will add more than a modicum of visual vibrancy to your wrist this fall and if you’re after a timepiece that stands out from the crowd, this is definitely it.
The Zodiac x Worn & Wound Super Sea Wolf Laser Tag Watch comes in two different iterations – Infrared and Ultraviolet – and retails for $1595. The Zodiac x Worn & Wound Super Sea Wolf Laser Tags are watches that were inspired by the sights, sensations, and joy of playing laser tag. They were designed to change appearance in three different lighting conditions: in light, in blacklight, and in the dark. Each state of illumination creates a different experience visually and we love their mighty impactful visuals.
The watches boast eye-catching photoreactive elements on the dial, bezel, strap, and even the case and packaging. They took over two years to make and that’s something that is entirely evident in the excellence of the finished product. These classy timepieces are unlike any you’ve ever encountered before and a bit of a departure from the more understated watches Zodiac typically produce. The only question is, which side will you choose: Ultraviolet or Infrared?
Ultraviolet is a dark purple backdrop with cool pops of green, blue, and pink. It is a unique combination of colours that is both eye-catching and stylish in the extreme. The Infrared version of this Zodiac and Worn & Wound collab is a deep, dark scarlet red with warm pops of white, pink, orange, and blue. It is a mysterious and alluring colourway that is sure to turn heads aplenty. Both colours are limited to just 282 units, so act fast if you want to get your hands on one of these bold and beautiful watches.
The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf watch is built on a rugged and reliable frame with a 200m water-resistant, 40mm case plated in dark, sleek grey. The case is not black, but rather a lighter shade that appears to glow in the dark. Milled directly into the metal of the case are channels that have been filled with luminous material. In the dark, the case disappears and only the lines remain, making it easy to read the time. Powering the Zodiac x Worn & Wound Super Sea Wolf Laser Tags is the STP 1-21 calibre movement. This Swiss-made automatic movement boasts 26 jewels, hand-winding, hacking seconds, a power reserve of 40hr, and a frequency of 28,800bph for a smooth sweeping seconds hand.
